Ramée Liu

At very early age, Ramée has been tasting wines under influence of her parents who started fine wine and cognac business back 30 years ago in Hong Kong. By tasting small samples of Bordeaux second growth at family dinners, a precise palate was developed as a result. During the 9 years living in San Francisco Bay Area, Ramée has grown to admire California wines that are filled with sunshine and had the pleasure of visiting vineyards extensively in Northern California.

In Hong Kong, wine lovers have the opportunity to taste wines sourced from all over the world especially during international wine fairs for trade in recent years and meet personally with reputable wine makers and vineyard owners. Accompanied by taking structured wine courses, like Wine and Spirit Education Trust, a UK wine educational board and attending Master classes, Ramée developed interest in wine tutoring to share the passion of wine regularly with students attending courses held at The Open University of Hong Kong or at other venues.

Based on wine learning experience, like private visits to vineyards of Bordeaux and wine touring around Tuscany and Piedmonte of Italy, Ramée is assisting Prime Cellar to select the right California taste for the international wine drinkers in Hong Kong.
