Liparita Howell Mountain Merlot, California, USA 1996

Bright ruby-red. Fruit-driven aromas of cassis and red berry liqueur. Sweet, slightly loose-knit flavors of cassis and raspberry; a bit simply fruity but attractive. Finishes ripe and soft, with good length. In comparison to this wine, the '96 cabernet sauvignon was far too green.
