DescriptionMarcassin Three Sisters Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast, USA 2001
WINE SPECTATORNotably Burgundian in its elegance, delicacy and restraint. Rich and concentrated without being powerful, it offers ripe, earthy sour cherry, herb, sage and tea, returning to a rich, fine black cherry core of flavor on the finish. Supple and harmonious.
VINOUSMedium red. Sexy aromas of candied strawberry, smoke, truffle and underbrush. Penetrating red berry flavors are framed by firm acidity. On the lean side for a Marcassin pinot-in fact a bit strict today-but also quite suave. Shows some underbrushy notes of development.
