Description
Domaine Perrot-Minot La Combe d'Orveau Vieilles Vignes, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru, France 2002AG 91 | VINOUS (ANTONI GALLONI)Healthy bright red. Wild strawberry, raspberry and underbrush on the nose and palate. Rich and silky in the mouth, showing lovely mid-palate sweetness and texture but still youthful and holding something back. No shortage of energy here but the tannins are less refined than, for example, the 2013 version of this wine. "I was looking for a little more alcohol back then," said Clavelier. "I did more punchdowns later in the fermentation and also did a bit more post-fermentation maceration." This wine may yet soften with more bottle age. |
BH 91 | BURGHOUNDAn elegant, very pure nose of small red and black berry aromas lead to finely detailed and intense flavors where the sappy black extract completely buffers the structure and gives the long finish a lovely velvety quality. Super in every respect and really classy juice. |
