BURGHOUND
A very mild hint of sulfur still allows the ripe yellow orchard fruit, mineral notes and soft floral hints to shine. The rich, intense, full-bodied and driving medium-bodied flavors possess an abundance of acid-buffering extract that also confers a seductive texture to the strikingly persistent finish. This beauty is impeccably well-balanced and should reward 4 to 6 years of cellar time.

WINE SPECTATOR
Though ripe and opulent, this white reveals intensity and persistence. Peach, grapefruit and oak spice flavors end with a burst of grapefruit. The toast and spice accents linger. Drink now through 2020. 100 cases imported

ANTONI GALLONI
The 2009 Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets presents a more pointed, focused expression of fruit than the Morgeot, but it doesn’t quite have that wine’s persistence. White peaches, pears, flowers and spices are woven together nicely in this bright, refined Chassagne Caillerets. The long, understated finish makes it hard to resist a second taste. Anticipated maturity: 2012+.
