Deep garnet in color with just a touch of brick at the rim, the 2014 Toymaker Cabernet Sauvignon hits the ground running with expressive notes of baked cherries, dried mulberries and creme de cassis plus nuances of menthol, tobacco leaf, wild sage and lavender. Full-bodied and richly fruited in mouth, the voluptuous black fruit preserves are lifted by a racy line of freshness and framed by velvety tannins, finishing long and earthy.

WINE SPECTATOR

Well-oaked but wears it well, making for a supple-textured mix of anise, plum, sage, dried herb and fancy oak flavors, with a long, layered finish. Drink now through 2028. 200 cases made.
